Our History

It’s been said that you cannot become one of the best food delivery services around Chicago overnight.  MSI GREEN Inc. has been in the business of supplying produce and staple products to fine-dining establishments for 30 years. 

Having been among other produce purveyors and vendors all his life, Marc Weiss learned "what not to do."  Along with a highly trained crew, their work day begins before sunrise. Their main goal: To supply their customers with a superior product that is checked extensively before it is delivered.  

What is it about MSI GREEN Inc. that makes them unique?  They were the first to introduce Elephant Heart Plums (now known as a variety of Dinosaur Eggs) and Lacinato Kale (now known as Black Kale) to Chicago.   Likewise, they were pioneers in bringing baby vegetables of all varieties and exotic fruits into the City and Suburbs. 

MSI GREEN Inc. is very particular about their products.   Everything is handpicked.  Not only are they a specialty company, their staple produce is top-notch. As well as handling a large assortment of dry goods and dairy products, they also offer an assortment of grass-fed meats and cage-free and Amish chickens.  

MSI GREEN Inc. has a greater understanding and appreciation of the Restaurant business because of Marc’s family background as hoteliers and restaurateurs so dealing with restaurant owners and chefs is nothing new to them.  Marc says, “We have the added leverage of knowing what they want.  From experience, we know that restaurant owners and chefs want consistent quality and variety.  They also want to know that they can trust their purveyor.  We pride ourselves on thinking like our customers.  They want perfection and that’s what we provide."
